FREDA  FILMS – Don Freda

Film-making has been a passion of mine for over 45 years.  My first ventures began as a college student when I received a Kodak Super 8 Movie Camera and Projector kit as a gift in 1975.  I used it for several course projects and when I graduated from college to begin my Middle School teaching career in Lancaster, Massachusetts, I learned to integrate film and video into my teaching of social studies and technology. My students produced school projects every year during my career while using Super 8 film, Analog, Digital, and High Definition Video.  See some school video samples here: School Film Projects

I also produced numerous Soccer Highlight Videos during many seasons of my 26 years as Boys Varsity Head Soccer Coach at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, Massachusetts.

Now, after retiring as a Social Studies and Instructional Technology Teacher and a High School Athletics Coach in three sports – Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball – I started a new career with my own film-making business in 2011 – Freda Films.  My equipment helps me to make connections with people who may want to use video to tell their stories.  I love telling stories!  Using video and audio components allows me to put puzzle pieces together seamlessly to present an exciting and emotional experience.  I desire to help people promote themselves or their businesses, to produce video content, training videos, wedding projects, family memorials, athletics, and special events.

Since, I have also expanded to preserving and digitizing old, out-dated media such as Super8mm/8mm/16mm Film; Video Tapes such as VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8/8mm, Digital 8, MiniDVs, and Betamax, to preserve precious Family Memories. My mold mitigation and restoration efforts have saved many old tapes, film reels and slides from the dumpster.

And adding to my eclectic FREDA FILMS production business is my sales department for Don Freda Photography that highlights my portfolio of travel photography that I use to produce Ultra High-Definition, and brilliantly colorful Metal Wall Art Prints  for sale. I also serve as a consultant to clients who wish to make Metal Wall Art Print Enlargements from their own digital photographs.
